Who Are We ?

Sanmarg Prakashan is a publishing house for Jain literature. On the basis of Lord Mahavir’s preaching it publishes & circulates various books, magazines, volumes that highlights Jainism and its principles; thus, enlightening oneself with faith-discretion-actions.

Sanmarg Prakashan has its head office in Ahmedabad (Rajnagar), Gujarat, India. Since last 40 years it is doing a significant work in the field of Jain Literature. Sanmārga magazine is being published in Gujarati since 25 years and in Hindi since 20 years. Till date it has published around 400 Jain Scriptures, Aagam, academic books, sermons/discourses, etc. in various languages viz. Prakrit, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Hindi and English. Apart from this thousands of copies of A4 size magazine are circulated in India and abroad, with a new column of 12 Bhavnas etc in English. More than 500 topics have been incorporated in Sanmārga through various detailed articles, scholarly write-ups, sermons, essays, discourse’s, debates, questions and answers, stories, biographies, scriptural notes and its meanings, Jain calendars (Panchang), etc.

In these difficult times of pandemic there was a question as to how shall everyone observe their rituals etc in the absence of social gathering? Sanmarg provided immediate rescue by aptly providing Volumes of the ritual books for the celebration of Paryushan, Navpadji Oli and Diwali through its Ārādhanā Samput – ritual volumes. These volumes were published in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Only, within a span of 3 months, 1 lakh 14 thousand sets were published and circulated worldwide, amounting to more than 18 lakhs books reaching out to thousands of families. In this way, everyone was provided enough material to observe rituals, being at home & talking all precautions to be safe against the pandemic. Like the ‘work from home’ phenomena; this amounted to a new concept of ‘Ārādhanā from home’ in dire circumstances. The concept saved many from transgression adopting the violent electronic media for Paryushan discourses.

Toiling in vain for material happiness, man is tired and frustrated, Sanmārga is like a ray of hope to eternal happiness, it opens up the spiritual path in all the situations of life. Let us follow this righteous path of Sanmārga.
